FASHION WEEKEND SKOPJE SS14: Hard to Explain's Fashion Fairytale

The ninth season of Fashion Weekend Skopje was officially opened last night with the fashion performance of the fashion designers Katerina Popeva and Marija Dacevska from the "Hard to Explain" atelier.
The event took place in the Old Skopje Bazaar.

Even though the collection is aimed to represent Skopje's urban life, culture and every resident's individuality, I actually see it very differently. In my opinion, the collection is fairytale-like, showing each model as a nymph from a divine forest. Or if you prefer it more, let it be an urban divine forest. The details, such as the headbands and the jewelry, are the most influential part of each look, very powerful, very urban, and modern kind of art. What I am also loving are the handbags which are an absolute lovely addition; I love the glittered bottoms and the plain tops. This collection reminds me of the nature in its purest, simplest form.
Simply, beautiful.

The collection carries the name "The Storyteller" („Раскажувачот“) as it tells the story of the life in Skopje.
A total of 20 pieces were showcased last night, followed by an actual storyteller who told the story behind the vision of the two designers. The collection is created from all natural materials such as silk and cotton, and all of the models are in grey, purple, beige and gold color.
